KEV HAS INDICATED THAT TWO NEW ALBUMS WILL BE RELEASED IN THE NEAR FUTURE. ONE WILL BE A STATED LYRICAL SOUNDSCAPE. THE MELODY WILL BE NATURAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOUNDS WITH STATED RATHER THAN MELODIC LYRICS. THE OTHER ALBUM WILL BE A MORE CONVENTIONAL ALBUM AGAIN WITH STATED LYRICS RATHER THAN MELODIC PHRASES.

KEV HAS BEEN WORKING A BIT EACH WEEK AT SOULAR MUSIC SERVICES STUDIO WITH SOUND ENGINEER AND DRUMMER ANDY WILMOTT (andy@soularmusicservices.com.au).

Kev Carmody and Friends Cannot Buy My Soul concert held in the State Theatre in Sydney in 2008 has been nominated as one of the Great Australian Concerts. Kev Carmody and Friends will be shown on SBS Viceland at 9.30 pm on Saturday 7th December 2024.

Cannot Buy My Soul

We are proud to announce the re-release of Kev’s tribute album Cannot Buy My Soul available to order from our webstore now. The 2020 edition comes with new recordings of his songs and his ageless contribution to the BLM movement celebrating Indigenous song writing and featuring new recordings.

The new release includes the stunning new take on From Little Things Big Things Grow by Electric Fields (see below), plus other contributions from artists such as Courtney Barnett, Kasey Chambers & Jimmy Barnes, Mo’Ju & Birdz (produced by Trials), Kate Miller-Heidke, Alice Skye and Archie Roach.
